The Thief Lord, Cornelia Funke

Okay children's fantasy/mystery/adventure story, but I don't think it's as good as The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, which is a close analogy. That might be because I'm too old to read either now, but I still think there should have been either more or less magic in Thief Lord.

ISBN: 0-439-40437-1 So wrote clew in SF&F.

And thus wrote others:

The best book i have ever readis The Thief Lord. I just finshed The Thief Lord and i am starting on the Inkheart. I think that Cornelia Funke is the best writer.

' The Thief Lord is an exquisite novel with vivid details about a boy and his brother who run away from their aunt and fend for themselves, with the help of some other runaways.
I highly recommend this book for an auidience of people ages 11 and up
